FAQ

What can I expect when I come to the studio?

You will find friendly and welcoming teachers — and other students!  For your fist visit it can be helpful to arrive 15 minutes before class so we can show you around and get you situated.

We ask you to take off your shoes and put them in our lounge area, along with your silenced cell phone and other personal items. We have mats and all the props you might need for class available at no added charge.

Because our studio is one space, we schedule class times to allow students to flow out after a class before the next ones flow in.  We kindly ask you wait to enter the studio until 15 minutes before class to allow for the turnover and cleanup!

Do I have to pre-register for classes?

Yes, please!

We do ask for everyone to preregister before attending class. We cannot take cash in studio or allow walk-ins at this time.

If you would like to register and purchase classes in person or over the phone, please reach out to us at hello@westendyogacompany.com and we will schedule a time between classes to help!

How do I sign up?

Our scheduling and payment system is Vagaro, which can be used on a desktop or their app. Vagaro has several security features, so you will need to have access to your phone and email to complete your initial account registration.  Once your account is set up, registering for a class is quick and easy!

You can access Vagaro by clicking on the “See our Schedule” or “Practice with WEYC” buttons above.

To use the app, simply download the Vagaro App, search for our studio, and create an account.

As a beginner, is there anything I should know?

We welcome you to yoga practice!  While there is a lot of flexibility in the specifics of each class, there are a few etiquette items to follow:

    • Arrive 10-15 min before class time
    • Please remove your shoes on the rugs.
    • Completely silence your cell phone (to include turning off vibrate)
    • Be kind to your fellow students and teachers
    • Please refrain from scented products including lotions, perfumes, or colognes. We are all breathing together in a small room and the scents can overwhelm.
    • We always strive to meet you where you are. Feel free to ask your instructor for a modified form if you feel discomfort or have difficulty with any movements.
    • Only practice within your comfort level and ability!  Yoga should never be uncomfortable, so please back out of any pose or modify if you begin to feel discomfort.
What should I wear?

Your comfort is most important, however we recommend flexible, form-fitting clothing that allows for both privacy and freedom of movement.  Layers may be helpful to easily adjust to the fluctuating temperatures as you ramp up or cool down during class.

What do I need to bring?

Kindness, a yoga mat, water bottle, and a small towel are all helpful for class.  You are welcome to bring your own props that make your yoga experience most comfortable!

We offer complimentary mats if you are new, visiting, or just left the house without yours!

What if I am late for class?

To nurture the easy flow and tranquility of class, the door is locked at the published class time.

With this in mind, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early or reschedule your class up to an hour before the start time.

What are your hours of operations?

Our classes run between 6:30 am – 7:30pm seven days a week.  Please refer to the studio calendar in Vagaro for specific class times.
